Philly Cocktail Fest

Join us for official Philly Cocktail Fest™, a cocktail tasting experience that aims to stimulate all of your senses. Come sample some of the best cocktails from the city’s best cocktail mixologists.

Tastings are included in your ticket. We believe in responsible alcohol service. You can sample cocktail tastings during your session time until and unless you show visible signs of intoxication, at which point service stops. To sample the cocktail tastings, you will be provided with a tasting card that you can use to redeem for each of the cocktail samples from the bars competing (*up to 15 bars will be competing). You will also get to enjoy spirits samples from all of the brands pouring straight pours and inventive cocktails (brand cocktails not part of the competition). Due to the volume of spirits that you’ll be able to try, there is a good chance that you will become intoxicated quickly at the Philly Cocktail Fest; please pace yourself and enjoy responsibly.

2-Day Critical Incident Response and Peer Support Training

  • Temple University: Bell Building Tech Center 3rd Floor (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

We are excited to present a comprehensive two-day certificate course specifically designed for first responder agencies. This training aims to equip emergency responders with the necessary skills to provide peer support and stress management services within their agencies as valuable members of Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) and/or Peer Support teams.

Day One: Understanding Stress Management and Critical Incident Response

The first day of the course will delve into the history and evolution of stress management and critical incident response. Participants will gain insights into the unique stressors experienced by those working in the emergency services, developing cultural competence, and understanding the fundamental concepts of stress management and peer support models. Through interactive sessions, attendees will explore the diverse forms of stress encountered within the first responder culture, highlighting the distinctions and variations from those encountered in the civilian world.

Day Two: Practical Application of Stress Management and CISM

On the second day, participants will explore the practical aspects of the stress management process and the provision of critical incident response. The training will emphasize the significance of self-care and resilience, guiding attendees in developing effective responses to traumatic incidents. Additionally, participants will receive guidance on establishing CISM teams within their respective organizations. To reinforce these concepts, engaging participation exercises will allow attendees to gain firsthand experience in providing crisis intervention support to organizations, groups, and individuals navigating through challenging circumstances.

Participants will acquire essential knowledge and skills to become a competent peer support provider and contribute to the overall well-being of their agency’s first responders. Don not miss this opportunity to enhance your professional capabilities and make a meaningful impact on your colleagues and community.

The cost is $150 /person for the two-day course.

Registration is limited to assure the group is intimate and impactful for all involved.

Critical Incident Response Strategies will donate 10% of the proceeds from this course to a Scholarship Fund.
